Custom Reporting An insurance carrier doing policy-owner marketing of an accidental death program to its life insureds considered outsourcing the administration to us. The insurer had specific reporting requirements we had to fulfill to win the contract.
The Challenge
The carrier required a specific format for reporting which included capturing life information from customers. The reporting needed did not match any current reporting we provide. It also had to work within templates provided by the carrier. This would allow the carrier to internally distribute reports we created without having to reformat them.
The Solution
DRIASI's senior developer added a sub-database to capture the customer's life information for reporting purposes. The carrier provided reserve tables and templates to process the data on responders and export the data into the required reporting format. The carrier evaluated sample reports and adjustments were made until the reports appropriately reflected how the carrier would create the reports themselves. These reports are now generated on a monthly basis and forwarded to the carrier. The carrier distributes the reports internally at the beginning of each month after managers conduct a short review of their content.
